| On 09.05.2015 at the sports hall of Plovdiv University were held the National championships in Shinkyokushin karate for chilren up to 10 and up to 14 years of age. The competition was very strong with participation from many of the young talents of the Bulgarian Shinkyokushin Karate Federation, hailing from clubs of the whole country. The team of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen made a very strong performance, winning 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.
| | Republican champions became:
1.Kaloian Marchev in up to 10 years 30kg, who was on a higher level than his opponents and did not face any difficulties on his way to the finals. This is the second title this year for Shumen's young fighter - he became champion in up to 12 years in the National competition held on 28.03.2015 in Shumen. The young karateka won his quarterfinal and semifinal matches by ippon after excellently placed ushiro geri and in his final he ran over his opponent by avasete ippon after some very strong chudan mawashi geri and chudan mae geri. He also deservingly received the prize for the best technique.
2.Simeon Belchev in up to 10 years 28kg, who won over his opponent decisively in the quarterfinal by vazaari with djodan mawashi geri and defeated his semifinal opponent by ippon with ushiro geri.
3.Ahmet Sabri in up to 14 years 45kg, who won his final match by vazaari with djodan mawashi geri.
Second place was taken by:
1.Krasimir Sabev in up to 10 years, who made a very strong debut on this National championship.
The bronze medal was won by:
1.Radostin Vasilev in up to 14 years.
The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen were able to take part in the National championships for children up to 10 and 14 years of age thanks to the timely help of the Municipality of Shumen.
Shumen's karatekas continue their preparation for the International tournament for the "Black Sea" cup in Shinkyokushin karate for juniors and kadets, which will take place on 06.06.2015 in Burgas. |

| | | SWISS- OPEN Juniors- Championship 2015, Stans, Switzerland, 02.05.2015 |
| On 02.05.2015 in Stans, Switzerland was held the SWISS-OPEN Juniors-Championship 2015. The tenth edition of the International tournament in Shinkyokushin karate in kumite and kata was filled with strong competition - in it took part 260 competitors of 13 countries - 53 dojos. SC "Kyokushun" Shumen's team made an excellent performance by winning 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
| | Champions became:
1.Ivan Ivanov in children 33kg, who was on a higher level than his opponents, winning every one of his matches by avasete ippon after a well placed djodan mawashi geri. In his first fight Shumen's young karateka destroyed Kushchak Markiyan of Lviv Regional Federation - Ukraine. In his semifnal he overcame Danilov Sergei of SC "Okinawa" Lithuania and in his final match he decisively won over Zihlman jack of Switzerland.
2.Kaan Shukri, who knocked out all of his opponents on the way to the final by way of djodan hidza geri. In his first match he defeated Minnebreuker Chris of SC "Omegasport" Holland, his quarterfinal he won decisively over Solther Maxime of France, after which followed a bulgarian semifinal against Stanislav Savov and finally in the initial stages of the final match he broke through Podlecki Maks from Poland.
Second places were taken by Kaloian Kolev in children 39kg, who won his quarterfinal against Mukha Maksym of Lviv Regional Federation - Ukraine by vazaari with djodan mawashi geri and in his semifinal he smashed Van de Voort Djayman with avasete ippon after some very strong djodan mae geri.
Bronze medalists are:
1.Dzhaner Shukri in juniors 65kg.
2.Serkan Mehmedov in juniors +76kg, for whom this was a great debut on the international tatami. Shumen's young fighter won his quarterfinal against Thavarasah Sultarshan of Switzerland by vazaari with djodan mae geri. In his following semifinal only the lack of experience held him back against Schot Chesron of Holland.
Although she could not reach the medals in girls 39kg Ioana Terzhieva also made an honorable performance on the SWISS-OPEN Juniors-Championship and gained valuable experience.
The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen continue their preparation for the upcoming National championships for children up to 10 and up to 14 years of age, which will be held on 09.05.2015 in Plovdiv. |

| | | Traditional tournament for "Madarski Konnik" - men and women, Shumen 25.04.2015 years. |
| On 25.04.2015 in the "Mladost" hall in Shumen was held the Traditional tournament in Shinkyokushin karate for the "Madarski Konnik" cup for men and women in kumite and kata. This was the tenth edition of the tournament, which started in 2006. The rules state that no national fighters and black belts are allowed entry into the tournament, because the focus of the event is to develop young and new competitors.
In the competition took part representatives of 11 clubs-members of the Bulgarian Shinkyokushin Karate Federation. The audience witnessed many close and entertaining matches, a large amount of which ended in vazaari or ippon. A very strong performance was made by the competitor of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen, who won 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.
| | Champion became Ivelina Petrova in women 65kg, who won her final match against her very experienced opponent, Darina Mihova from SC "Kyokushin" Dimitrovgrad, by vazaari after a very well placed djodan mae geri. The judges unanimously awarded her with the trophy for best techinque as well.
After seven years absence a strong return to the tatami was made by Vitalii Marinov, who won second place in men 90kg.
A very good debut in men 80kg was made by Iavor Aleksandrov, who in his preliminary match defeated Gunai Hassanov of SKC "Kyokushin" Novi Pazar. He then fought very well in a close and disputed match with only his lack of experience weighing him down and the judges decision went to his opponent, Georgi Angelov of ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv.
A worthy performance was made in men kata by Kaloian Georgiev, who finished the competition with a bronze medal. SC "Kyokushin" Shumen did well in hosting the tenth edition of the Traditional tournament in Shinkyokushin karate for the "Madarski Konnik" cup for men and women in kumite and kata, thanks to the help of the Municipality of Shumen, Ultima ltd, 3S COT, ICON.
