| | | Exam higher technical degree /kyu/ Shumen on, Shumen 28.06.2012 |
| On 28.06.2012 ă. SC Kyokushin- Shumen city hosted an exam for achieving a higher technical grade /kyu/ in Karate Shinkyokushin. This hard challenge was beat by 100 karate fighters of Shoumen, Novi Pazar, Veliki Preslav, Tsarevbrod and Nikola Kozlevo, with 50 of them representing SC Shumen. The examining board consisted of:

sensei Rumen Kalinov- dan III, sempai Stoyan Obretenov- dan II, sempai Ivan Bezus- dan I, and sempai Daniel Dimitrov- dan II. The exam, which took three and a half hours contained the three basic components of Karate Shinkyokushin- kihon, kata and kumite, as well as an especially hard physical challenge.
All contestants faired successfully, showing a great technical improvement, high fighting spirit and excellent physical education.

| During the first part of 2012’s sports season the karate fighters of SC „ Kyokushin”- Shumen city noted a very good presentation, so far conquering 62 medals total in all age groups from official matches in the sports calendar of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation.

The young shoumen national Georgi Yordanov performed decently on the European Championship for cadets, which took place on 01.06.2012, despite not being among the prize winners.
In 2012, SC „ Kyokushin”-Shumen city hosted the seventh edition of the traditional tournament for the „Madarski Konnik” cup for men and women, and earned a high grade from the management of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation for excellent organization of the competition’s execution.
