| | | On 30.04.2011 in the "Mladost" hall in Shumen was held the International tournament in Shinkyokushin karate for the "Madarski Konnik" cup for men and women in kumite and kata. This was the sixth edition of the tournament and the second time it is international. In the competition took part competitors from Bulgaria, Croatia and Turkey.

| The regulations state that in kumite are unable to participate national competitors and black belts. The point of this is to focus on the development of young competitors, who can gain some international fighting experience.
Of Shumen's karatekas the chairman of Shumen's club Stoian Obretenov placed second in kata and Shaban Shaban won a bronze medal in the +90kg category.
In women kata the first place was taken by Tsvetelina Marinova, one of Shumen's old trainees, who now competes for ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv.
Gold medals in women were won by Shengul Umer of Haskovo in the 55kg category, Tsanislava Georgieva of ASKC "Trakia" in the 65kg category and the croatian Stella Oros in the +65kg category. For mend the titles went to Ilian Hristozov of ASKC "Trakia" in the 65kg category, his teammate Vasil Angelov in the 70kg category, Viktor Ganchev from Sofia in the 80kg category, Nikolai Varshilov of ASKC "Trakia" in the 90kg category and Iumit Ilmaz of Turkey in the +90kg category.
The cup for the greatest fighting spirit was awarded to Aiash Ramazan of Turkey. The cup for the best debut went to Anastazia Korchia of Croatia. The prizes for the best technique were won by Tsanislava Georgieva and Ilian Hristozov of ASKC "Trakia".
The International tournament for the "Madarski Konnik" cup was organized by the Municipality of Shumen, SC "Kyokushin" Shumen and the Bulgarian Karate-do Kyokushin Federation.
Sponsors of the event were the Municipality of Shumen, "Antas" ltd, "Ultima" ltd, "Liftkom" ltd, "ICON", "3 S COT", ST "Berg" - translations, "Siso" ltd, "Amko-Mebel" and "Kodika" ltd.

| | | The European championship for kadets and men and women in kumite and kata, Vilnius, Litva 15-16.04.2011 |
| | | On the 15th and 16th of April in Vilnius, Litva was held the European championship in Shinkyokushin karate for kadets and men and women in kumite and kata. The competition was very strong - in it took part 345 fighters from around 30 countries in Europe.
| | An excellent performance was made by the competitors of Bulgaria's national team, winning a total of 5 medals in both age groups - 4 gold and 1 silver.
In the mend 90kg category Valeri Dimitrov destroyed his opponents on his way to his ninth european title /an unequaled achievement in the history of European Kyokushin karate/. Three gold and one silver medals were won by the kadets. First places took Violeta Litovska in the girls kadets 55kg category, Bogomil Tiholov in the boys kadets 55kg category and Stefan Lotarov in the boys kadets 65kg category. Second place took Alexandra Tsvetkova.
Great joy was brought to us by the young national competitor from Shumen Bogomil Tiholov, who won his second european title in the kadets 55kg category - winning every match by knockout and was deservingly awarded the prize for the best technique for kadets. In his first match our fighter defeated Reckus Deividas of Litva with ipon, in his semifinal he knocked out Baranov Denis of Ukraine and in his final, against Auga Romualdas of Litva, Shumen's young karateka again met no resistance, winning by knockout long before the end of regular time.
Shumen's other national competitor Georgi Iordanov also peformed well in his debut in European competition and gained precious experience.
The national competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen were able to take part in the European championship thanks to the timely help of Municipality of Shumen.
SC "Kyokushin" Shumen's competitors continue their preparation for the upcoming International tournament for men and women for the "Madarski Konnik" cup, which will take place on 30.04.2011 in the "Mladost" hall in Shumen.

| | | The National championships for juniors and children up to 12 years of age, Plovdiv 26.03.2011 |
| | | On 26.03.2011 in the "Olimpiada" hall in Plovdiv was the National competition in Skinkyokushin karate for juniors and children up to 12 years of age. The tournament, which took place in perfect organisation by the hosts of ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv, were exceptionally strong and in it took part many of the young talents of the Buglarian Karate-do Kyokushin Federation from clubs of the whole country.
| | The audience witnessed many close matches in which the young karatekas showed great technical growth, strong fighting spirit and excellent physical condition. A very strong performance was made by the competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen, who won 5 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals. Republican champions are:
1. Dian Petkov in children up to 12 years of age, who literaly ran over his opponents on his way to first place in the 33kg category, winning his semifinal and final matches with ipon and very deservingly took the prize for the best technique for boys up to 12 years of age. This is Dian's second republican title for this year - he became champion in children up to 14 years of age two weeks ago in Blagoevgrad.
2. Kaan Shukri in the children up to 12 years of age 36kg category
3. Roberto Vasilev in the children up to 12 years of age 39kg category
4. Nesrin Nezhdet the children up to 12 years of age 33kg category
5. Simona Stoianova in the junior girls 48kg category, who became republican champion for the third time in 2011 - winning first place in Blagoevgrad in the girls up to 14 years of age category and on the 26th of February taking first place in kata in the girls kadets category.
Second places took:
1. Serpil Galib in children up to 12 years of age
2. Janeta Ruseva in children up to 12 years of age
3 .Alexander Bachev in children up to 12 years of age
4. Osman Osman in juniors
Bronze medals were won by:
1. Simeon Grigorov in children up to 12 years of age
2. Gunai Galibov in children up to 12 years of age
3. Damna Sezginova in children up to 12 years of age
4. Ivelina Petrova in juniors
5. Simona Ilieva in juniors.
The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen were able to take part in the National championship for juniors and children up to 12 years of age thanks to the timely help of Municipality of Shumen.
So far Shumen's karatekas have won 39 medals from national competitions in all age groups - 17 republican champions, 11 runner-ups and 11 bronze medalists.
A Tae-Bo group affiliated to the club has been founded by Vitalii Marinov (No.1 athlete for Municipality of Shumen in 2007). Training sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 18:00 to 19:00 in the gym of IIIrd OU "Dimitar Blagoev".
