Awarded by Bulgarian National Karate Federation, Sofia 12.2012 yrs
      On 14.12.2012 at 12:30 in the Pressclub Bulgaria - National stadium "Vasil Levski" began the General meeting of the National Bulgarian Karate Federation.
     Before that on the official pressconference was held a ceremony, during which were announced the club standings for competitions of the National Sports Calendar in 2012, the best karatekas and the best coaches.
     For WKO - Shinkyokushinkai in the club standings first place went to ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv, second is for SC "Kyokushin" Shumen and third for SC "Bushido" Nesebar.
     The best karatekas are:
     1.Sensei Valeri Dimitrov III dan - ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv, who became the european champion in men in the absolute category for the eleventh time.
     2.Ianitza Stefanova - ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv - second place in European championship U-22
     3.Vasil Vangelov - ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv - bronze medal from European championship U-22
     4.Lachezar Dimitrov - SC "Bushido" Nesebar - bronze medal from European championship U-22
     The best coaches are:
     Shihan Georgi Popov - V dan /Technical director of the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation, coach of the National men and women team and branch manager for Bulgaria/,
     Sensei Hristo Terziev - III dan, coach of the National team for seniors
     Sensei Daniel Dimitrov - II dan, senior instructor of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen

The traditional tournament "Shumen Fortress", Shumen on 09.12.2012
        On 09.12.2012 in Shumen was held the traditional Shinkyokushin karate tournament for children, kadets and juniors "Shumenska Krepost", hosted by SC "Kyokushin" Shumen. In the comptetition's kata event took part karatekas from Shumen, Novi Pazar, Russe, Veliki Preslav and Tzarev Brod. The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen ended the tournament with 9 first, 7 second and 14 third places.
           Gold medals were won by:

     3.Georgi Vekov
     4.Desislava Radoslavova
     5.Ivan Ivanov
     6.Simona Stoianova
     7.Mario Vladimirov

Erai Fedainov, Gunai Galibov, Stela Velcheva, Dzhaner Shukri, Mark Chervenkov, Vasil Chepishev, Nazam Hikmet
            Bronze medals were won by:
Svetoslav Hristov, Kristian Kostalinov, Velizar Dimov, Ahmet Sabri, Ivanina Petkova, Kristina Abrasheva, Marchelo Chervenkov, Kaloian Kolev, David Aleksanyan, Melis Alieva, Nesrin Nezhdet, Ali Aliev, Dian Petkov, Kaloian Georgiev.
      The tournament was very beneficial to all competitors and is a part of their preparation for the upcoming exam for a higher level of technique /kyu/, which will take place in January of 2013 in Shumen, under the leadership of the Technical Director of the Bulgarian Karate-do Kyokushin Federation, coach of the National team for men and women and branch manager for Bulgaria shihan Georgi Popov V dan.
      In the kumite event only debutants were allowed to participate, so that Shumen's coaches could give a chance for new names to arise in various age group teams.

Summary news for all of 2012
      During the year 2012 the karatekas of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen made a great total performance, winning so far 85 medals in all age categories from official competitions of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation's sports calendar.
     Shumen's competitors had a strong presence in two European championships as well - Georgi Iordanov came in 5th in the European tournament for juniors, which was held on 01.06.2012 in Antverpen, Belgium, and a great debut by Mark Chervenkov in the European tournament for kadets, which took place in Kielce, Poland on 16.11.2012, also coming in 5th.
     In their footsteps follows the younger generation - in the European cup for kadets and juniors - ROMANIAN OPEN- EUROPEAN CUP, which was held on 13.10.2012 in Arad, Romania, the young talents of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen fought well, winning 3 silver and 3 bronze medals.
     Silver medalists became Dzhaner Shukri in the kadets 55kg category, Ivelina Petrova in the kadets 55kg category and Osman Osman in the juniors 65kg category.
     Bronze medals were won by Mark Chervenkov in the kadets 70kg category, Dimitar Hadzhiev in the kadets 65kg category and Vanio Valchanov in juniors.
     The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen acquired a total of:
     11 republican champions
     7 republican runner-ups
     13 bronze medals for RC
From National cup tournaments they have 10 first, 7 second and 3 third places.
From Zone competitions - 11 first, 13 second and 5 third places.

     In 2012 SC "Kyokushin" Shumen was host to the seventh edition of the traditional "Madarski konnik" cup tournament for men and women, receiving a high grade from the board of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation for the excellent organisation and running of the event.
     Sponsors of Shumen's teams for the competitive year 2012 were: Municipality of Shumen, "Agrointernational" ltd, "Ultima" ltd, "Antas" ltd, "Agrosemena" ltd, "Strongstroi" ltd, "Kodika" ltd, 3S COT, Icon, "Siso" ltd, "PIGMENT design", sole trader Varnalia - M.      Shumen's karatekas heartedly thank their friends for without their help they could not have attended these strong competitions of the BKSF's sports calendar. The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen continue their preparation for the upcoming exam for a higher level of technique (kyu), which wii take place in Shumen in January 2013 under the leadership of the Technical director of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation, coach of the National team for men and women, and branch leader for Bulgaria Georgi Popov - Vth dan.
