Examination for mechanical stage (kyu) - Shumen 03.12.2011
        On 21.01.2011 SC "Kyokushin" Shumen was host to an exam for a higher level of technique/kyu/ in Shinkyokushin karate. Over a 100 karatekas from Shumen, Varna, Novi Pazar, Veliki Preslav and Tzarev Brod were put to the test. The representatives from SC "Kyokushin" were 69.
     The exam committee was as follows:
          sensei Georgi Popov – IV dan /Technical Director of the Bulgarian Karate-do Kyokushin Federation, trainer of the Bulgarian men and women National Team /,
          senpai Tsvetelina Marinova – II dan /vice-european champion in EC 2009 held in Kiev – Ukraine and three-time bronze medalist in different European championships/,
          senpai Anatoli Georgiev – II dan,
          senpai Stoian Obretenov – II dan,
          senpai Ivan Bezus – I dan,
          senpai Lina Traikova and
          senpai Daniel Dimitrov – II dan.
     The examination contained the three fundamental components of Shinkyokushin karate - kihon, kata and kumite, as well as an exceptionally difficult physical test. All of the participants succeeded in achieving a higher level, showing great technical growth, strong fighting spirit and excellent physical preparation.
     The competitors from SK Kyokushin – Shumen continue their preparation for the upcoming traditional tournament for the “Shumenska krepost” cup.

The National tournament for “Cherno more” cup 19.11.2011
        On 19.11.2011 in Mladost Hall in Bourgas was held a national tournament for “Cherno more” cup in Shinkyokushin karate for juniors. In the event took part many of the Bulgarian Karate-do Kyokushin Federation's young talents from clubs of the whole country.
     Good results were achieved by the competitors of SC "Kyokushin" - Shumen, with chairman senpai Stoian Obretenov - II dan, who won two golden and one bronze medal.
     In juniors 60kg category the two-time European champion Bogomil Tiholov left no chances to his opponents and after a brilliant final match in which he won over his adversary with avasaete ipon and deservingly was attributed the first place.
     The other gold medal for the Shumen club won Georgi Yordanov /the other national competitor/. In this tournament he participated in juniors, 75 kg category and in the semifinal won with avasaete ipon after a very well placed chudan mawashi tobi geri over a competitor from ASKK “Trakia” – Plovdiv. In his final match he won with ipon after a very strong shita ski. Georgi’s victry delighted the whole Shumen team because he went to his last match with a very bad injury.
     A bronze medal in 65 kg category won Osman Osman whose trainer is Aidan Ahmed in the subdivision of SK “Kyokushin” in Tsarevbrod in OU “Sveti Sveti Kiril I Metodii”.
     The competitors from SK Kyokushin – Shumen continue their preparation for the upcoming exam for a higher level of technique /kyu/ in Shinkyokushin karate which will be held on 03.12.2011 under the guidance of Sensei Georgi Popov – IV dan /Technical Director of the Bulgarian Karate-do Kyokushin Federation, trainer of the Bulgarian men and women National Team /.

The Zone championship for all age groups - 29.10.2011
        On 29.11.2011 in Pliska Hall Shumen was held the Zone championship in Shinkyokushin karate for all age groups. SC "Kyokushin" - Shumen's team made an excellent performance, winning 19 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals and deservingly were first in the team rankings.
     Champions are:
          1. Ivan Ivanov in the children up to 7 years of age, 25 kg category.
          2. Amet Sabri in the children up to 10 years of age, 30 kg category.
          3. Engin Mustafa in the children up to 10 years of age, 34 kg category.
          4. Radostin Vasilev in the children up to 10 years of age, 44 kg category.
          5. Pervin Hiusmenova in the children up to 10 years of age, 28 kg category.
          6. Yaroslav Stephanov in the children up to 12 years of age, 34 kg category.
          7. Dian Petkov in the children up to 12 years of age, 36 kg category.
          8. Kaan Shukri in the children up to 12 years of age, 41 kg category.
          9. Roberto Vasilev in the children up to 12 years of age, 46 kg category.
          10. Nesrin Nezdet in the children up to 12 years of age, 38 kg category.
          11. Mark Chervenkov in the children up to 14 years of age, + 65 kg category.
          12. Kaloyan Georgiev in the children up to 14 years of age, 64 kg category.
          13. Ivelina Petrova in the children up to 14 years of age, 54 kg .
          14. Simona Ilieva in the children up to 14 years of age, 61 kg category.
          15. Tassin Tassin in the cadets, 46 kg category.
          16. Osman Osman in the cadets, 70 kg category.
          17. Denis Muzikiarov in the juniors +80 kg category.
          18. Vanio Valchanov in the juniors 66 kg category.
          19. Georgi Yordanov in the juniors, 70 kg category.
     Silver medlaists are:
          1. Lazar Angelov in the children up to 10 years of age, 23 kg category.
          2. Yoana Terzieva in the children up to 10 years of age, 28 kg category.
          3. Kader Rizaeva in the children up to 12 years of age, 34 kg category.
          4. Serpil Galib in the children up to 12 years of age, 38 kg category.
          5. Mario Vladimirov in the children up to 14 years of age, 38 kg category.
          6. Plamen Russev in the children up to 14 years of age, 50 kg category.
          7. Taifun Mehmed in the cadets, 52 kg category.
          8. Dimitar Hadziev in the cadets, 70 kg category.
          9. Petromil Staphanov in the men, 75kg category.
     Bronze medals were attributed to: Selin Selim, Giunai Galibov, Damna Ahmedova, Janeta Ruseva and Shakir Shaban.
     Sponspors of the championship were: Municipality of Shumen and „Agrointernational” ltd.
     The competitors of SC „Kyokushin” Shumen continue their training for the upcoming tournament for the „Cherno More” National Cup for cadets which will take place on 19.11.2011 in Bourgas.
