In the women 65kg category Tsvetelina Marinova placed third, winning her quarterfinal match against Alexander Vulevii from Danemark. In a close match in the semifinal against Hungary's Csenge Szepesi only bad luck stopped Tsvetelina from victory. Tsvetelina also performed very well in the women kata category, where she went on to the second round of the competition.
Three gold, two silver and three bronze medals were won by the younger part of the squad. A worthy performance was made by Novi Pazar's national competitor Aihan Mehmedov, but because of an exaggerated penalty genten the medals were out of his reach.

The greatest joy was brought to us by the youngest of Shumen's nationals Bogomil Tiholov, who won the first European title for the club in the boys 55kg category. In his first match he decisively won against Robert Jenenfli of Hungary, in his quarterfinal he knocked out Joaquin Navarro of Spain, in his semifinal he unappealably defeated Yuriy Klymko of Ukraine.
