The traditional training camp for cadets and seniors, from 06.09.2013 to 09.09.2013 in Kotel.
      The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen Ivelina Petrova and Dzhaner Shukri took part in the traditional training camp of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation for cadets and seniors, which took place from 06.09.2013 to 09.09.2013 in Kotel.
     Training sessions were held twice per day under the leadership of the coach of the youth national team sensei Hristo Terzhiev - IV dan and were focused on kumite. The main object of training was conditional preparation, combinations and sparring, meant to add to the technical growth of the young karatekas. The camp was a part of the selection for the National kadet team and to our joy both competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen both made it to starters. With it began the preparation for the European championship for kadets, men and women up to 22 years of age - kumite and kata, men and women absolute category - kumite, which will take place on the 15th and 16th of November in Oradeia, Romania.
     Shumen's young talents were able to take part in this responsible event of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation thanks to the timely help of the Municipality of Shumen.
     The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen continue their preparation for the upcoming North Zone in all age groups.

Training camp in Balchik, from 28.08.2013 to 01.09.2013

        From 28.08.2013 to 01.09.2013 40 karatekas of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen conducted a training camp in Balchik. Training sessions were two-per-day under the leadership of sensei Daniel Dimitrov - III dan /senior instructor of the club/, senpai Milen Milanov, senpai Iordan Georgiev and senpai Aidan Ahmed /instructor in the branch of the club in OU "St. St. Kiril and Methodi" Tzarev Brod/. During the first session Shumen's competitors, divided in three groups, practiced the three main components of Shinkyokushin karate - kihon, kata and kumite.
      The second part of training was solely focused on kumite and conditional training. On the last day around the camp echoed a strong Kiay, with which Shumen's karatekas completed 2000 strikes with fists and kicks before the main part of training. At the end of the day was held a talent show, in which the young talents of Shumen's club, divided in four groups, competed in teams for the big prize with song, dance, sketch comedy, imitations and karate demonstrations before the jury, comprised of: senpai Milen Milanov, Bogomil Tiholov /two-time european and nine-time republican champion/, Stela Velcheva, Andrei Belchev and Zornitsa Atanasova.
     At 2 am took place a nightly training session under the leadership of sensei Daniel Dimitrov - III dan /senior instructor of the club/. During the camp Shumen's karatekas had the opportunity to watch documental and feature films about Sosai Masutatsu Oyama - X dan /founder of Kyokushin karate/ and to study Japanese. There was ofcourse enough time for beach time, fun and games which brought the karatekas closer together as a group, both young and old.
     The next event for the competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen will be the training camp for the extended squad of the National kadet and senior teams, which will take place on 06.09.2013 in Kotel. It will be focused on sparring and is part of the preparation for the European championships for kadets, men and women up to 22 years of age - kumite and kata, and men and women absolute category - kumite.

The traditional summer technical camp, Borovets from 01.07.2013 to 06.07.2013
       From 01.07.2013 to 06.07.2013 in Borovets was held the traditional summer technical camp in Shinkyokushin karate. In this large-scale event of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation took part around 300 karatekas from club of the whole country, as well as competitors of Russia, Ukraine, Croatia and Kuwait.
      The camp was under the leadership of shihan Kiril Andrews - VI dan /President of the English Kyokushin karate ogranisation and chairman of the technical and exam commitee of EKO/, sensei Norichika Tsukamoto - III dan /two-time european champion in the absolute category and many titles as champion of Japan/, sensei Valeri Dimitrov - IV dan /twelve-time european champion and three-time world champion/, sensei Dimitar Popov - III dan /five time european champion/ and shihan Georgi Popov - V dan /senior coach of the National team for men and women and technical director of BKSF/.
     There were two training sessions per day which transpired in a very friendly atmosphere. All the participants could touch the mastery of some of the biggest names in Shinkyokushin karate.
      On 05.07.2013 was held an exam for a higher level of technique - 2nd kyu, 1st kyu, I dan, II dan and III dan. Those who succesfully passed the dan exam are:
I dan: Tsveta Ignatova, Nedelcho Ivanov and Nikolai Davidkov, the latter being a trainee of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen and long-time competitor of the club, currently training and competing for "Kanku-kai" Sofia, Mihaela Nikova - "Bushido" Nesebar, Georgi Lotarov - ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv, Iordan Tenev "Budokai" Radnevo, Milan Traianov "Tornado" Pazardzhik.
III dan: Todor Todorov and Nikola Tutanov - SC "Kyokushin" Dimitrovgrad, Daniel Dimitrov - SC "Kyokushin" Shumen.
     The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen came home enriched with many new friends and experiences.
