The team tournament for the "Veliki Preslav" cup, Veliki Preslav on 02.11.2013
       On 02.11.2013 in the Sports hall in Veliki Preslav took place the Team tournament in Shinkyokushin karate for the "Veliki Preslav" cup. The event was inaugurated by the vice-mayor of Veliki Preslav Mrs. Daniela Iordanova, followed by a demonstration by the instructors of SC "Kyokushin".
     The tournament was very close and the stakes were high, since the winning team had to have won atleast eight of fourteen matches. There were 11 matches in kumite, 2 in kata and 1 in boxing. In the end the competitors of the team captained by Iordan Georgiev took first place after winning 9 to 5 matches. In the intervals between matches balet "Emotion" took care of the audience's entertainment.
     The tournament was meant to popularize Shinkyokushin karate in Veliki Preslav and is a part of the preparation of the competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen for the International "Cherno more" cup for kadets and juniors which will take place on 23.11.2013 in Burgas.
     The event was held thanks to the hel of: The Municipality of Veliki Preslav, "Kariera Dragoevo" AD, "Agrofresh" ltd.
     Training sessions in Shinkyokushin karate in Veliki Preslav are held Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 17:00 to 19:00 in the gym of PTG "Simeon Veliki".

       On 27.10.2013 in the "Dunav" hall in Russe was held the National tournament for the "Bulgaria" cup in Shinkyokushin karate for children in categories up to 10, 12 and 14 years of age. The competition was very strong and in it took part many of the young talents of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation from clubs of the whole country.
     The audience could witness many close and dynamic fights, in which the children of all clubs showed great technical growth, excellent preparation and a strong will to win.
     A very strong performance in the event was made by the competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen with chairman Stoian Obretenov - II dan, winning 5 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze medals and taking second place in the team standings in all age groups. This certified the Shumen club's position as having one of the strongest youth programs in the country. Champions became:
          1.Ivan Ivanov in the children 10 years 28kg cat, who won his semifinal by avasete ippon after a very well placed djodan mawashi geri and defeated his finals opponent by vazaari.
          2.Kaloian Kolev in the children 10 years 34kg cat, who won in his semifinal match by avasete ippon with a very strong low kick, after which he toppled his opponent with ippon by ushiro geri.
          3.Ahmed Sabri in the children 12 years 35kg cat.
          4.Engin Mustafa in the children 12 years 41kg cat.
          5.Serpil Galib in the children 14 years 45kg cat.
     Silver medalists became:
          1.Kaloian Marchev, who made a great debut in children 10 years of age, winning his semifinal by vazaari after an excellently executed djodan mawashi geri.
          2.Ioana Terzieva in children up to 10 years of age.
          3.Ali Aliev in children up to 12 years of age, decisively winning his first match by vazaari with a very strong low kick, after which he defeated his semifinal opponent by ippon.
          4.Dian Petkov in children up to 14 years of age.
          5.Gunai Galibov in children up to 14 years of age.
          6.Nesrin Nezhdet in children up to 14 years of age, who won her semifinal by ippon.
          7.Arzu Fikretova in children up to 14 years of age.
          8.Aigiul Ibriam in children up to 14 years of age.
     Bronze medals were won by: Velizar Dimov, Martin Iliev, Kaan Shukri, David Aleksanyan.
     The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen were able take part in the National "Bulgaria" cup for children in categories up to 10, 12 and 14 years of age thanks to the help of the Municipality of Shumen.
     Shumen's karaketas continue their preparation for the upcoming European championship in Shinkyokushin karate for kadets and juniors kumite and kata, men and women in absolute category kumite, which will take place on 15th and 16th of November in Oradeia, Romania.

The Zone championship in all age groups, on 05.10.2013 in Lovech
        On 05.10.2013 in Lovech was held the Zone championship in Shinkyokushin karate in all age groups. SC "Kyokushin" Shumen's competitors made an excellent performance, winning 7 gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze medals and deservingly earning first place in team standings.
     Champions are:
          1.Ivan Ivanov in the up to 10 years of age 34kg category.
          2.Ahmed Sabri in the up to 12 years of age 35kg category.
          3.Engin Mustafa in the up to 12 years of age 41kg category.
          4.Kaan Shukri in the up to 14 years of age 45kg category.
          5.Nesrin Nezhdet in the up to 14 years of age 45kg category.
          6.Aleksandar Stanchev in the kadets 55kg category.
          7.Martin Iliev in the up to 12 years of age 45kg category.
     Silver medalists are:
          1.Kaloian Marchev.
          2.Kaloian Kolev.
          3.Barash Dzhelil.
          4.Ioana Terzieva.
          5.Ali Aliev.
          6.Dian Petkov.
          7.Roberto Vasilev.
          8.Plamen Rusev.
          9.Kaloian Georgiev.
          10.Nedialko Nedialkov.
          11.Osman Osman.
     Bronze medals were won by: Simeon Belchev, Velizar Dimov, Gunai Galibov, Arzhu Fikretova, Zhaneta Russeva, Aigiul Ibriam, Viktor Ulianov, Petar Aleksandrov, Iordan Nikolov, Dimitar Hadzhiev.
     The competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen were able to take part in the Zone championship thanks to the help of the Municipality of Shumen.
