| On 25.04.2015 in the "Mladost" hall in Shumen was held the Traditional tournament in Shinkyokushin karate for the "Madarski Konnik" cup for men and women in kumite and kata. This was the tenth edition of the tournament, which started in 2006. The rules state that no national fighters and black belts are allowed entry into the tournament, because the focus of the event is to develop young and new competitors.
In the competition took part representatives of 11 clubs-members of the Bulgarian Shinkyokushin Karate Federation. The audience witnessed many close and entertaining matches, a large amount of which ended in vazaari or ippon. A very strong performance was made by the competitor of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen, who won 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.
| | Champion became Ivelina Petrova in women 65kg, who won her final match against her very experienced opponent, Darina Mihova from SC "Kyokushin" Dimitrovgrad, by vazaari after a very well placed djodan mae geri. The judges unanimously awarded her with the trophy for best techinque as well.
After seven years absence a strong return to the tatami was made by Vitalii Marinov, who won second place in men 90kg.
A very good debut in men 80kg was made by Iavor Aleksandrov, who in his preliminary match defeated Gunai Hassanov of SKC "Kyokushin" Novi Pazar. He then fought very well in a close and disputed match with only his lack of experience weighing him down and the judges decision went to his opponent, Georgi Angelov of ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv.
A worthy performance was made in men kata by Kaloian Georgiev, who finished the competition with a bronze medal. SC "Kyokushin" Shumen did well in hosting the tenth edition of the Traditional tournament in Shinkyokushin karate for the "Madarski Konnik" cup for men and women in kumite and kata, thanks to the help of the Municipality of Shumen, Ultima ltd, 3S COT, ICON.

| On 26.04.2014 in the “Mladost” hall in Shumen was held the International tournament in Shinkyokushin karate for the “Madarski Konnik” cup for men and women in kumite and kata. This was the ninth edition of the event, which started in 2006. According to the rules national competitors and black belts are prohibited from participating, as the tournament was created to help the development of younger fighters. The competition was very strong and in it took part karatekas of 14 clubs, members of the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation.
| | The audience saw many close and exciting matches, many of which ended in vazaari or ippon. An exceptional performance was made by the competitors of SC “Kyokushin” Shumen, winning 2 gold and 1 bronze medals. Champions became:
1.Bogomil Tiholov in the men 65kg category, who won his final by vazaari and was awarded the prize of the strongest fighting spirit.
2.Ivelina Petrova in the women 55kg category, who won her final by vazaari and, with a unanimous decision by the judges, was awarded the prize for the best technique.
The bronze medal in men 80kg category was won by Petromil Stefanov.
The traditional tournament for the “Madarski Konnik” cup is organized by the Municipality of Shumen, SC “Kyokushin” Shumen and the Bulgarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation.

| On 29.04.2013 in the "Mladost" hall in Shumen took place the International tournament in Shinkyokushin karate for the "Madarski Konnik\ cup for men and women in kumite and kata. This was the eight edition of the competition, which started in 2006. Following the rules no national competitors or black belts are allowed to participate in kumite, since the main reason behind the tournament is to develop younger fighters. The competition was very strong and in it took part 69 karatekas representing 16 clubs, three of which from Croatia - "Sosai" Zagreb, "Mladost" Samobor and "AIK" - Varazhinski Toplitze.

| The audience could witness many close and attractive matches, many of which ended by vazaari or ippon. A worthy performance was made by the competitors of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen, who won 1 silver and 1 bronze medals. In the men 65kg category Bogomil Tiholov took second place after decisively winning over Simeon Nikolov of ASKC "Trakia" Plovdiv in his semifinal. Due to doctor's decision and a leg injury Shumen's karateka could not go out and fight in his final, having to settle for second. A bronze medal in kata was awarded to the chairman of SC "Kyokushin" Shumen - Stoian Obretenov. The referees decided to award Shumen's other fighter Mihail Dobrev with the prize for the best debut, honoring the name of Pavlin Petrov. This award holds great value to all of Shumen's karatekas, at it is in memory of their tragically lost friend.
The cup awards "Madarski Konnik" for the best technique were awarded to Ivanka Deleva and Petar Rusev of ASKC "Trakia".
Prizes for great fighting spirit were given to Tsveta Ignatova of "Kanku-kai"and Iordan Rachev of SC "Kyokushin" Lovech.
The traditional tournament for the "Madarski Konnik" cup is organised by the Municipality of Shumen, SC "Kyokushin" Shumen and the Buglarian Karate Shinkyokushin Federation.
