The monument is located in the highest part of the Dunav plain - the Shumen Plateau - 500 meters above sea level and towers over Shumen. The memorial recreates important moments of bulgarian history from the VIIth to the Xth century. It is erected from 8 concrete bodies, forming two chambers.
